All is now set for the FBN Capital Limited, a subsidiary of the FBN Holdings Group, to host its 3rd Annual Investor Conference on November 19 and 20, 2013 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos.
Themed: “Tomorrow’s Nigeria through Economic Empowerment”, the focus of the conference will be explored through a combination of presentations and interactive sessions with some of the foremost reformers in government, as well as renowned leaders in the private sector within and outside Nigeria.
The event this year will once again feature the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; and the Minister of Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, as invited guest speakers.
While the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance will address the realities of ‘Growing Nigeria’s Economy with Fiscal Restraint’, the Minister of Trade and Investment will share the measures being taken to enhance ‘Nigeria’s Positioning and Competitiveness on the Global Stage’.
Also billed to speak at the event is the former Chairman, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and current Chief Economist, Goldman Sachs, Jim O’Neill.
He will provide the audience with a framework with which to project Nigeria forward into the next decade, using the evolution of leading emerging market countries as a basis.
According to the Managing Director/CEO of FBN Capital, Kayode Akinkugbe: “Our creation of the Investor Conference was motivated by a desire to contribute towards realising economic opportunities in the country and to facilitate the debate on developing Nigerian capital markets as leading investment destinations in sub-Sahara Africa. With it, we seek to once again provide a forum for investors to interact with the leaders of the economy, including key policy makers in government and senior executives of leading corporate institutions.”
Over the two days, the conference will facilitate sessions with Captains of Industry to examine ways to sustain the momentum for a better Nigeria and experts will discuss ways of harnessing the potential in the Asset Management industry.
