An economy at a crossroads:



Kemi Adeosun, Honourable Minister for Finance, is a seasoned finance professional with over 25 years of finance experience gained in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. Her expertise spans Audit, Risk, Management Consultancy, Investment Banking, Pensions Administration and Public Sector Financial Management. She has held senior roles in various institutions including British Telecom Plc and PricewaterhouseCoopers in the UK. In Nigeria, she joined the Chapel Hill Denham group in 2002 as Financial Controller and rose to become Managing Director, until her resignation in 2010, to start her own consultancy – The Quo Vadis Partnership. Prior to her appointment as Minister, Kemi was Commissioner for Finance in Ogun State where she was a key part of the governor’s Mission to Rebuild, which turned around the economic fortunes of the State. Kemi holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Sector Financial Management form University of London (School of Oriental and African Studies) as well as a B.Sc. Hons Degree in Applied Economics from University of East London. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and has 22 years post qualification experience. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Okechukwu Enyinna Enelamah, Honorable Minister of trade and investment has over 20 years of private sector experience spanning finance, consulting and auditing and private equity. Before co-founding African Capital Alliance, he gained private equity experience working at Zephyr Management L.P. in New York and South Africa Capital Growth Fund in Johannesburg. He also worked at Arthur Andersen and Goldman Sachs. Enelamah has served on or chaired the boards of Cornerstone Insurance Plc, UAC of Nigeria Plc, eTranzact International, Flavour Foods Limited, and Landmark Property Development Company, as well as industry groups Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) and Africa Venture Capital Association (AVCA). Enelamah holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Nigeria and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University Graduate School of Business. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Godwin Emefiele CON, Central Bank of Nigeria Governor was a pioneer staff of Zenith Bank Plc and served as the Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of the bank prior to his appointment at the CBN. Before commencing his banking career over 23 years ago, he lectured Finance, Bank Management and Insurance at the University of Nigeria and University of Port Harcourt. He holds a B.Sc. and an MBA in Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Mr. Obi Ejimofo, Chief Operating Officer, Asoko Insight,  is an experienced technologist and entrepreneur now focused on implementing new business models in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is the former managing director of Lamudi Nigeria and previously held senior roles in Thomson Reuters, Vodafone and Philips Electronics, designing and delivering global technology-driven transformation programmes. Obi has an executive MBA from the London Business School as well as a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
