PANELISTS

Mr. Adebayo Kazeem, Principal, Carlyle Group is a Principal focused on Africa buyout and growth opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Carlyle, Adebayo was a Director of oil and gas investment banking at Renaissance Capital, Nigeria, where he focused on origination and execution of transactions for Sub-Saharan Africa companies. He also worked as a generalist on the Equity Capital Markets team. Adebayo received an MBA from INSEAD, an MSc Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London, and a BSc Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos.

Dr. Ayo Teriba, CEO, Economic Associates is the founder and Managing Director of Economic Associates. He is an expert on macro-economic analysis of developing countries, particularly Nigeria. He has worked as an Economist at Lagos Business School, Lagos Chamber of Commerce, ThisDay Newspaper Group, and UAC of Nigeria; he has also worked as a Consultant to Coca Cola Nigeria, DfID, Federal Ministry of Information, Senate Committee on Banking and Finance, USAID, and World Bank. He holds B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ibadan with Sir James Robertson Prize and Medal, an M. Sc. Economics from Ibadan in 1990, an M.Phil. Economics of Developing Countries as a Cambridge-DfID Scholar at the University of Cambridge in 1992, and a Ph.D. in Applied Econometrics and Monetary Economics from University of Durham in 2003.

Ms. Barbara Barungi is the Lead Economist for the African Development Bank Office Nigeria. Previously served at the Bank headquarters in the research department Prior to joining the African Development Bank Ms. Barungi served with the United Nations Development Programme, Regional Bureau for Africa, New York . She has also taught at Makerere University (Uganda) and Witswatersrand University (South Africa). Areas of work and research include exchange rate policy and inflation, debt policy, public finance and public expenditure reviews with a focus on social sectors; and conflict and poverty related studies.

Mr. Christos Giannopoulous, CEO, PZ Cussons Nigeria joined the PZ Cussons Group in 1988 and has occupied several managerial positions in the United Kingdom, Australia, Kenya and Indonesia before joining the Nigerian subsidiary in 2002. He was appointed to the Board in 2004 and took over the position of the Chief Executive Officer in 2009. He holds a degree in Business Administration specialising in Marketing from Derby University, United Kingdom.

Mr. Dave Uduanu, CFA, MD, Pensions Alliance Limited serves as the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Pensions Alliance Limited (PAL). Prior to joining PAL, he worked at Ernst & Young and was a partner with Alliance Consulting. Dave is the immediate past Chairman of the Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria ("PENOP"), the umbrella body of the Pension Fund Operators in Nigeria responsible for pension assets of over US$25bn. He was also an Executive Director at African Alliance Insurance Limited. Mr. Uduanu is an Engineering graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1994 and obtained the CFA designation in 2000.

Mr. Eghosa Omoigui, General Partner, EchoVC Partners is the founder and Managing General Partner of EchoVC Partners. Prior to this, he was with Intel for nearly 10 years and his last role was as Intel Capital Director, Strategic Investments, Consumer Internet & Semantic Technologies, where he acted as a senior investment professional focused on platform-agnostic consumer web services and digital media-based investment opportunities. Omoigui also drove ICap's investment focus on next generation semantic technologies, smart data and the realtime web. Eghosa was personally responsible for developing supporting theses for and sourcing investment opportunities in various companies including AdMob, Jaiku, Powerset, Facebook, LinkedIn, Teracent and Pandora. Omoigui also served as Chief of Staff to the President of Intel Capital and to Intel's Treasury organisation. He attended University of Pennsylvania Law School and Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.

Mr. Glolahan Fagbure Co-founder and CEO, Supermart.ng is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Supermart.ng, an online grocery delivery service. Prior to Supermart.ng, he served as Director of Operations of Jumia Nigeria, Founder and Director at Vartis Strategic Partners and Director of Road Repair Company. He is also the founder and host of Speaker Series Africa and a graduate of the University of Leicester.

Mr. Kamar Bakrin, Operating Partner, Helios Investment Partners has extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Consumer goods and Infrastructure sectors, focused predominantly on Africa and the emerging markets. His previous roles include Group Head of Honeywell Group, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vios Principals, Chief Executive Officer of Oando Energy Services Plc, and Chief Operating Officer of Oando Marketing. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ilorin and an MBA from Colombia University, United States. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria (IOD) and a fellow at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Mr. Lekan Asuni, CEO, GSK Nigeria has been serving as the Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Nigeria since 1st July 2008. He has several years of management experience and diverse senior leadership exposure where he has distinguished himself and has a proven track record of delivering growth of major scale. Lekan has vast experience in strategic leadership, marketing, sales management, business development, project management and public health. He demonstrates sterling leadership qualities, high learning agility, emotional intelligence, humility and a drive for success. In addition, he is passionate about developing people and has, over time, developed the most robust talent pipeline for his organisation in the Middle East Africa (MEA) region. He has had market immersion in South Africa, India and the United Kingdom. Lekan holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is an Alumnus of Ashridge Business School, UK and has also attended several general management and function-specific workshops and courses locally and internationally.

Mr. Michael Oyebola, MD/CIO, FBN Capital Asset Management has amassed a wealth of experience both locally and internationally. Until his appointment as head of FBN Capital Asset Management in January 2011, Michael was Chief Investment Officer of Guaranty Trust Assurance (now Mansard Insurance PLC) for 4 years. Michael headed Assur Asset Management and led the investment management team that managed over $106m of Guaranty Trust Assurance funds and client money. In addition, Michael successfully launched and managed a series of investment linked funds and products for Assur Asset Management, each out-performing relevant benchmarks. Michael is an Associate member of the CFA UK, a member of the CFA Institute, and an Advanced Management Program (AMP) alumnus of the Lagos Business School. Michael obtained a Masters degree in Finance from Middlesex University, UK and a Masters of Science in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling, UK. Michael was elected as President of the Fund Managers' Association of Nigeria (FMAN) in October 2013.

Mr. Opuiyo Oforiokuma, MD, ARM-Harith Infrastructure Investment Ltd served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Lekki Concession Company Limited. His areas of expertise include new product and service strategy development, change management, business process reengineering, business restructuring and turnaround, cost reduction and operational efficiency improvement, commercial negotiation, M&A, project management, finance. He joined Thames Water, the UK's largest privatised Water Utility Company, in 1990. During a 16-year career with Thames Water, he was appointed Finance Director of Thames Water International in 2000, and led Thames Water's International Financial function at a time of its considerable growth and overseas expansion. Appointed Business Performance Director, Latin America, in 2002, he relocated to Chile, from where he led a fundamental redesign and restructuring of Thames Water's Chilean business operations. In 2003 he moved to the USA, on being appointed Vice President of Business Change in American Water, the largest investor-owned Water Utility Company in the USA at the time. He co-directed American Water's Business Transformation Programme. In 2005, he was appointed Vice President of Product and Service Innovation of American Water, and commenced the development and implementation of a new strategy to create growth from new business start-ups and service offerings. Opuiyo is an honours graduate in Accountancy and Financial Management from the University of Buckingham.

Mr. Temitope Oshikoya, Founder, CEO/Chief Economic Strategist, Nextnomics is a seasoned economist, policy analyst, chartered banker, and certified management accountant. With over two decades of experience in senior management spanning several sectors, he has held several notable positions in private sector, public sector, consulting, academia, at national and international levels. He served as Director-General/CEO of the West African Monetary Institute, appointed by the Authority of Heads of States of Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, and The Gambia and worked with governors of Central Banks and Ministers of Finance. He has also served as Group Head of Public Sector at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated covering 35 African countries, and a US$2.5bn business. He was pioneer Chief Economist at Africa Finance Corporation and has served as a Director at the African Development Bank, and as a consultant to the World Bank. He is a widely published leader of thought in his field with over 50 published articles and 2 books and has served on editorial boards of professional journals including the Journal of African Economies, Journal of African Finance and as Editor of the African Development Review. He served as Joint Coordinator of African Competitiveness Report of ADB, World Economic Forum, and World Bank. Oshikoya holds a PhD/MA in Economics from McMaster University, Ontario, MBA, Finance from the University of Liverpool, a B.Sc. first class honour degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and an Accounting certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles extension program. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB), England and Nigeria; and member, Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA), USA. He has professional training in Competitive Strategy at INSEAD, Risk Management and Corporate Governance at United Nations Institute of Training/Research, Banking Valuation, Corporate Finance and IFRS with Euro-Money.
